Chris says: “BECK is a unique company. As the company in now held within an ‘Employee Ownership Trust’ it inspires and thrives on an entrepreneurial working culture. I’m looking forward to mentoring the senior team and passing on the benefit of my experience in the industry. In particular, the BECK ethos and culture. The business is in a fantastic place and the BECK brand is strong. This year I will be consolidating our position as market leaders and focussing on delivering on the business plan. We are continuously looking to improve on our client delivery model, whilst ensuring we have a sustainable business for the long term.”
CHRIS GALLOWAY AND DAN HERRON BECOME GROUP CEO AND GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR, RESPECTIVELY
BECK announces changes to the board. Dan Herron moves into the role of Group Managing Director. He takes over from the former incumbent, Chris Galloway, who moves to the position of Group CEO.
In 2016 Chris Galloway took over the running of the business as Group Managing Director alongside Group Board Director Mark Banham. Since then, he has steered the company through a period of heavy internal investment, the Covid-19 pandemic and the complexities of an ever-evolving industry.
He now moves to the role of Group CEO, effective immediately. Moving forward, Chris will support Dan and the other board members, whilst mentoring senior executives within the business. He will work closely with new Group Finance Director Lynn Sheach overseeing the long-term strategy for the business and Director for Scotland, Corin Dougall, on the growth of BECK Scotland Ltd.
Dan Herron joined the business four years ago, to oversee the major refurbishment of The Carlton Tower Jumeriah. He subsequently became Commercial Director before moving to his latest role of Group Managing Director.
Chris Galloway says: “Dan’s extensive experience and collaborative way of working have made him a real asset to the business, since joining BECK four years ago. He has delivered complex projects successfully, overseen our growth strategy as Commercial Director and inspires trust in our clients. Over the last year, Dan has taken on more of an operational role within the business and I have no doubt he will excel as Group Managing Director.”
Dan Herron says: ““It is a great honour to move to the position of Group Managing Director and continue the successful journey of the BECK Group. My focus remains on delivering exceptional quality projects through experience and collaborative working relationships. We have a superb brand and a great, progressive platform. We will continue strengthening this by focussing on developing our staff and ensuring an enjoyable client journey for those we work with. The future is certainly exciting.”
