Helen studied Graphic Design at the University of Staffordshire. In 2014, two years after graduating, she moved down south for a role at BECK and began her career in the construction and fit-out industry. Her early work focussed more on the museum side of the business but as the company has evolved, so has Helen’s role. She now works across all sectors, predominantly in interiors, with hotels and residential properties.
Helen’s work varies, from helping the Pre-contracts Team by working on bespoke presentations to working with the Brand Marketing team to create branded collateral for the company. Part of her role is to work with the project managers to produce logistics, using Adobe programmes and Sketch Up to create 3D plans to visually aid the Pre-Contracts team when tendering for a new project. These help visualise how access can be gained through a building, to allow works to take place.
Helen says: “I work closely with the Pre-Contracts teams to ensure we get across the quality and attention-to-detail that we are proud of at BECK. The main goal of my work is to find engaging ways to show what we do as a company, because what we do is quite skilled. The projects we do are so interesting and each one is very different. They all have a different design element or something special about them. One of the best things about my role is that I get involved in lots of different stages of a project.”
